Here you go the good old doc (aseem molhotra) uses the "m" when talking about diet.
What does he mean " moderate alcohol intake" is that the same as avoid excess alcohol. Excess being the level you should drink pretty much like counting carbs or calories to many is excessive there in his words you moderate
    Pioppi Diet
The Pioppi diet claims to promote the principles of the Mediterranean diet to promote weight loss and reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes.

The authors, Dr Aseem Malhotra and Donal O'Neill, recommend a low-carbohydrate, high-fat diet with fruit and vegetables, fish, olive oil, alcohol in moderation and exercise.

Who said anyone should count carbs. I dont. That’s the point.

I see the points you are trying to make but in doing so you are overlooking the salient point. You need to go back to the video I posted a while back that you said you wouldn’t watch. Also the posting I made where I quoted Dr David Unwin. It isn’t too difficult to understand those points unless of course you are trying to be contrary which I suspect you are. Locate that video, watch it. Read the stuff that Dr David puts out on carbohydrate addiction and then get back on it. There is no point in the pair of us filling the forum listings with an argument that you seem to want to pursue just for the sake of it.

And remember, these GPs applying a lchf solution to patients are improving people’s lives, reversing chronic conditions where otherwise it would not have and wasn’t happening.

My intention is to help anyone who needs help in this regard. I do this outside of this forum. People tend to be hugely grateful especially when their health improves. But that does not happen here. All that happens is rude response and bickering. Amazing. A sad reflection on yourself.

Let me just say further. I don’t mind people asking questions. I am more than happy to answer and advise. But if anyone is trying to be clever, score points or generally take a negative or opposing view then it’s just going to p1ss me off and lead to a string of argumentative posts. There is no point in any of the latter.

I am not overlooking any point and you need to concede as Molhorta states he moderates his alcohol intake therefore and you jim and oss discuss carb intake in grams etc therefore and what I am saying is you moderate.
Take your second post where you highlight 10% Greek yogurt that is your target say 10% but let's say for what ever reason you could only get 12% per serving then you would moderate your intake by not having a full serving of the 12% product.
Further Jim says " all I can see is lots of carbs" you say unfortunately so, if you take some away you've moderated the volume.
My wife had an iron deficiency and was advised get more iron content and less starch so she moderated her diet
Don't forget how you described the word moderate useless I think you called it ( can't be bothered to look back) now the good doc had used it maybe your viewpoint will change

Here you go again. Everything needed has been posted. I believe you wilfully misunderstand. If you could moderate your tone and wording we could have a good conversation which happens in 99% of the cases I come across. Until then I clearly cannot help you in particular. Again I can see the points you are raising and can try and help but you clearly only want to perpetuate an argument.

It is absolutely commonplace for people to raise questions of understanding and clarification. It comes in bucket loads. But unlike yourself virtually all approach their misunderstandings with a degree of politeness and not as if they are looking for an argument.

Please define " moderate my tone"
Please define that if your wife is on a low carb diet how you define low as opposed to a high carb diet in volumes one is low the other is high where is the line.
I see you've used your useless word moderate:like:
