Nurses arriving in the UK from Overseas are taking this practical exam to qualify as Registered Nurses under the NMC - the exam consists of 6 practical sessions around patients (mannequins) in six different rooms. In each room the candidate has between 15 to at the most 20 minutes in some rooms. Currently there is a pass rate of 49%. Nurses who fail have another chance to take it, some though have to return to their country of origin. The purpose of this discussion is to share best practice.
