am feeling bit low today so am here thinking back home in the philippines wondering to those who also felt the same..what are the sacrifices you felt you give up since you came to UK to be with our husband/partner/bf/gf :baby:hils:
I left my loving Nanay and the whole family for my loving husband. I left the wonderful weather and friends for a beautiful U.K. But I work hard and save to visit 'em annually and that is great so no problem at all!
I think it depends on the person.. I know many Filipino's who work in Manila or Cebu but come from another island such as Mindanao, but what little money they earn means they cannot afford the ferry home for a number of years. So for those people, I think a yearly trip home from the UK would be a better alternative than waiting for many years.. But then. Home sickness is not just about the family! It is also about the sounds, smells and climate that is just so much different here than back in Pinas. So for some, the simple fact thay they are far from home and the things that they grew up to know and love is enough to make them feel sad.
i must agree to all your opinion folks and should stay strong other than being optimistic towards life
Very true you can be desperately homesick ten miles up the road from home. I think the hardest thing to miss is watching loved ones grow up or age..
oh yeah.. and missing family gatherings... parties.. weddings... hayyyyy.... just this year, i missed my neice's birth, my cousin's wedding, my family's vacation in boracay, my nephew's first day in preschool... oh well.... i'm so glad i'll be home next month!!!
