Sopra is only for application in the UK. For settlement visa its either VFS in Manila or VFS centres here in the UK that's on the lists.

    No chance £50 lighter

    Afternoon £50

Sooo glad we got our recent FLRM application in before the 'old' door closed completely - 2.5 years should be enough time for the dust to settle on the new system, or for it to change again!

my thoughts exactly. i think i was the first on here to apply for flr just sending in photocopies --after 5th november last year. all that has been swept aside now. next for us is the big one--ILR. i dread to think what that will cost in 2 years time. which makes me think--how many other long term things in life do you start with no idea what it will cost in years to come?

That has always been my issue with this process @bigmac - when you start the process, the costs should remain as they were until you finish the process...

The IHS is a good example - just weeks before we were due to pay it for the first time, having started the Fiancee Visa 12 months previously, it doubled overnight!!!

Mortgages are a good example (interest rates), but at least you can 'shop around' - unlike with UKVI!

"they" can do it--at will. we are a captive audience and can do sod all about it.

also--anything that makes money out of immigration will always go down well with they great unwashed british voters.

The hardest part is trying get appointment as always say free appointments fully booked,so they get you to pay for appointment has we had to pay £100 for 2 weeks time in main office in Birmingham, the library in Wolverhampton was fully booked for 3 weeks,I am guessing that's how sopra speria maka their money as only got contract October 2018.

Who's to say they even HAVE 'free' appointment slots - maybe 1 per day! Like 'special' deals online, you're lucky if you ever hear of someone who gets it!

    - I'm sure someone on here will prove me wrong... :D
