My wife received her ILR BRP today 30th june after biometrics done on june 11th.
So the processing of application must have been going on during the shut down of UKVCAS, as the online application was made in march.

The ILR BRP came attached to a letter advising to check for any errors with 10 days and mentioned to check dates.

The ILR BRP card has an expiry date of 31/12/2024, which seemed odd, however, it's not an error according to BRP web page.

Is this a sign of the government possibly charging for updating future ILR cards when they reach expiry date? Yet another money spinner for the government?

Of course this is not an issue if you then go on to apply for British Citizernship as the ILR BRP is then redundant.
