Hi, its me again. I just want some help. I am in need of some advice. Can I apply Visitor Visa for my Wife 2.5 years then spouse or settlement visa from PH? I really love my wife to come here with me even for a 2.5 years visitor visa instead of settlement. My wife love to settle here but in some circumstances she cant yet. She cant leave her old parents yet as shes the only one living with them. And I truly understand her. Can I apply for her 2.5 years visitor visa as a sponsor instead of her? Or she will be the one who will apply to come here? Your advice is highly appreciated. Thank you and God bless.
Hi bigmac thank you. Actually, its my idea if I can apply her for 2 years visit visa, I want her to come her even for 6 months. I'm coming to Ph next week and want to apply her a visa to come with me when I come back here in UK on February. Is it possible if I can apply directly the 2 years visit visa for her and what are the requirements needed? Because if I will apply the settlement or spouse I knw myself that I cant still be able to provide the financial requirements yet for now maybe in a year or two.
Another daydreamer ? Why not find some extra income and do things properly. £18,600 a year GROSS is hardly a big salary these days. Do you plan to have children ? How would you support them ?
https://www.gov.uk/standard-visitor-visa If you need to visit the UK regularly If you need to visit the UK regularly over a longer period, you can apply for a long-term Standard Visitor visa that lasts 2, 5 or 10 years. You can stay for a maximum of 6 months on each visit. If you’re under 18 years old when you apply, your long-term Standard Visitor visa will only be valid for up to 6 months after you turn 18. Fees A Standard Visitor visa costs £93. The fee for a long-term Standard Visitor visa depends on its length: 2 years - £350 5 years - £636 10 years - £798 my wife's brother holds a 5 years visit visa. he lives in saudi. he regularly flies over to visit his g/f in aberdeen
from what we have experienced--it is difficult to get even a 6 month visa for philippine nationals. UKVI are on the lookout for visitors using the UK as a regular 2nd home--so i would doubt they would even consder a 2 year visa in your case. dont waste your money. try for 6 months to start with--£90 odd isnt so painful if refused.
Hi You say in a different thread your wife has a good job, are her employers prepared for her to be away for long periods over 2 years? You say in this thread that she cares for elderly parents and that is why she could not move to the UK long term,if you were successful geting a six month or 2 year visit visa who would care for her parents in her abscence?
Thats what I did, doing my best to be a good husband and provider for my wife. And yes we have a plan to have children if God will give us because my wife for now is having a hard time for us to have a child for she is sufferring of PCOS. I dont want to pressure her. Even If I'm only twenty I know my responsibilities and obligations for her and to my future children. I wont give up in trying my very best. At this point, I have two jobs but the other one is just part time and I just started my other job for 2 weeks now as a permanent.
She can file leave or if not granted she can stop working as I always want her to resign. Not being selfish but I want her to stop working to focus on her health and away from very stressful kind of work she has.
Its mentally and emotionally so depressing to have that kind of illness. Hurts to see her hurt because shes scared that she cannot give me a child o a happy family on our own.
Yes I know about the multiple entry visas but the OP's question was ambiguous and I took it to mean that he wanted a visa that granted a two-year stay.
Actually you are being a bit selfish: she may be a bread-winner upon whom the family rely. Incidentally, are you of Filipino origin?
