As I watching netflix in peace and quiet, as the Mrs is out and about, I received a recorded call from a woman purporting to be from my credit Card Company, telling me that as there was a query on a purchase, to push any button to be in touch.. I did one better... I called the number at the back of the card directly. And yes, someone tried to wiggle £48.+ for a Deliveroo take out .... As an extremely vigilant bank, they stopped the payment as out of character and contacted me ASAP. Result, New card on the way arriving by next week-end. Any further purchase attempt will be blocked It is funny, that the only time I used my card in over 24 months was to purchase my new mobile phone two days ago from a shop in the centre of town . I will be paying them a visit on Tuesday, wearing my p***ed off hat.
