Moving to the Philippines

    They are a bit naive, but at their age that's ok.

    Their economic assessment of the relative advantages of each country is where I think they are being naive but a lot of that depends on age.

    These two are having good fun planning for a future life they really have no clue about. I admire their positivity and their hope.
    Reality tells me that they will fail dismally in their efforts to live a sustainable life in the Philippines at this stage but in the future,who knows? I wish them both good luck with their efforts to live here . They will need it.

    Something tells me it's the woman pushing for the move,I spoke to a Canadian at a BBQ yesterday,he was born in the PI, it was his 50'th birthday, I asked him would he retire in pinas, he said going off his last holiday there he couldn't adjust and couldn't afford as he was seen as the family bank.

    Yes, she can get a bit tiresome. Mrs Ash usually has a sit down late in the evening and watches this sort of thing. There is a lot more of this sort of material available now than when she first moved over.
