This is truly a delicious spicy king prawn dish bursting with flavour.
It's high in protein and if you want, you can pack it with with even more chilli to really boost your metabolism.

It's another 'Micawber' special, and fast recipe for all you busy people that really love tasty dishes!

    You lucky people!

    Lime and Chilli Garlic Prawns

    Ingredients:-

25g Butter (why not try the Lurpak Garlic butter)
    1 tsp Chopped Garlic
1 tsp Chopped Red Chilli (or whatever floats your boat)
    200g Raw King Prawns
    5 thinly sliced Spring Onions
The Juice and The Zest of 1 Lime
Rocket leaves and crusty bread to serve (alternatively a peppery watercress - is my fave)

    Cooking Method:-

    1. In a frying pan, melt the butter and gently cook the garlic and chilli for about a minute.
    2. Add the prawns and cook for about 5 minutes until the prawns have turned pink and opaque.
    3. Stir in the salad onions and the lime juice & zest.
    4. Continue to heat through until piping hot.
    5. Serve with a few rocket leaves and crusty bread to soak up the juices.

    Enjoy!

That sounds like a nice twist on Gambas Peter, very similar to my favourite Gambas that we get in the Phils (not the really sweet tomato'y version)

This recipe I will try, I usually do all of that minus the onion lime and Rocket leaves but I can see exactly how that would really add a touch of class :like:

oss, personally I prefer watercress but most others (Pinay) say it's too 'spicy'.

    I wondered about that too ? :D

    Special variety of cress?

Actually I think Peter meant the whole dish was too spicy ;)

Works Christmas party last night, I had ordered Tiger Prawns in some sauce that I can't remember, one of the new lads accidentally accepted my dish, his own order was Chilli King Prawns so I ended up accepting that instead of what I had ordered, I got the better deal :D

The Chilli King Prawns were really nice but probably not as good as this recipe, still not had a chance to make this one :)
