Well, if I take my own family as an example.

One wife. Three kids. One ex-wife. Me.

    6 people.

    No Christians.

One white-British. Two Asians. Three mixed race others.

Are any of us in a position to make a negative comment about this? I'm actually finding it pretty annoying to see a lot of media criticism of these figures as they are effectively having a pop at us for daring not to marry someone from Cleethorpes.

The reporting in the media of this kind of statistic is designed to stoke the fires of the "Great Replacement" theorists, there are people with the anti immigration mindset who use this kind of statistic to justify the position they hold on immigration.

Note the way it is reported they report a fairly small change in actual numbers of people describing themselves as white, half a million difference over ten years since the last census is a farily small change but then they attempt to conflate it with the 50% statistic and big bold capital letters "HALF" more than 50% are not Christian, who cares about the religion or about this being a Christian country many of us here do not adhere to any religion, but it appeals to the 'Great Replacement' people because they conflate it with ethnicity and makes them feel that something dramatic is happening when in fact almost nothing is happening.

Does your wife not want to be called "Asian British", Graham?
My wife always says she is "Asian" even though she has British citizenship.
I think she put "Asian British" on her census reply form.

Just asked her. She replied "Asian".

    She also has British citizenship.
