It is a relief, in a certain sense, to know that pubs and other places of mass gathering, will be closed for a while, with the purpose of slowing, if not, stop, the spread of this dreadful virus. Whilst I had been advocating for it, to happen, with my friends and colleagues about I realize with sorrow that lots of jobs and liveligoods depend on them remaining open for business. It was a relief to see that the current government, put our money where its mouth is and dish out financial help unilaterally. My only concern is about the few that will take advantage and milk the system for all they can and more. What will the authorities do about it and how will they deal with the scumbags... My personal circumstances are not the best, as I rely heavily on visiting my customers in their own homes and provide them with a tasting of our company wines in view of an eventual purchase by the case. This week, because I had to self isolate, I had to cancel several appointments, and after trying to flog something over the phone, I had to, mementarily, give up due to lack of positive response... not really sad.......... I have lots of sampling to do, in the interest of quality control... But still..... My daughter wedding from this April has been postponed to, provisionally, next year, but as long as Easyjet doesn't cancel the flight, I won't be able to get a refund on it, but only a free of charge postponement, the problem is that when it happens that I have to book for the real date of travel, next year, all charges will appear.. Hardly fair.........
