We are planning to leave early in the morning pick a couple of friends from town, and make our way down to Hounslow for the Barrio Spectacular again. Over the years it has become a bit of a pigrimage for us, and as long as it makes her indoors happy, I am all for it. After all, even if my lot disappears for stretches at the time, they never fail to return with some delights to eat.... To make the trip this year, I declined to attend a Game Fair Show in Scotland, and frankly I am not sorry. I have done two trips to Scotland in 3 months, and although they were profitable, the long driving can get very tiring. I will have enough work and driving the week after next, as I am scheduled to be in Harrogate and soon after in Maidenhead, another fair distance.... My biggest gripe really, is that the expenses paid, hardly cover the fuel costs, wear and tear and whathaveyou... So if any of you happen to be there this year, please don't be afraid to say "hallo", I will be easily recognisable because of wearing a white Chelsea hat in good weather and a leather cowboy one, in the wet....
Not been for a few years. Anyone good on this year? We used to stay at the best western master robert and walk down to the park. It was good fun and I agree, some really nice food!
We'll miss it this year. My wife is working "long days" all weekend. We have a plan to attend the "Party at the beach" Barrio Fiesta in Lancing. It'll make a nice relaxing weekend break at the seaside. We both love the seaside and fresh seafoods. It looks like being a good event.
does any one know if there is any thing like a barrio fiesta up north as its to far to go london ????
There's always one's in yorkshire and north east. Also scotland. I'll check the filipino newspaper and magazine i've got (ate cora gets a bundle of them every month) and let u know
Let me know if you need any information on the area, there is a large car park, loos at the western end of the beach green, if arriving by train, just keep walking south and you'll find it very easily!,,, I live less than ten minutes walk away from the site btw,,,
