Well Asawa has just been informed that she is a British national.

Although I have a vivid memory of me picking her up at MAN airport on the 25th September 2012 it seems an awful lot has passed under the bridge since then.

Since then, 2 fantastically well behaved and beautiful kids. She's a great mum (not a bad wife too ;) ), Intelligent and witty and I'm made up for her.. well done Asawa :like:

Congrats - although I don't think it's properly official until after the actual ceremony.

Such a relief when you get this, although I still have to remind myself sometimes that we are no longer subject to immigration control!

Yes a milestone for us. We meant to do it earlier but things got in the way. Time to cancel paper statements from my bank now :)

    Cheers BigMac.

I think she was granted her Spousal Visa 2 weeks prior to arriving in the UK and if I recall correctly, it was 59 days prior to that when we actually submitted the application. I may not be bang on with the dates but plus or minus a few days. As I said, we could of applied earlier for the Citizenship but other things were happening, holidays, asawa requiring her BRP for college and work. Anyhow just the ceremony to attend.

Incidentally we received the letter today but it was dated the 9th!! You have 4 weeks to arrange the ceremony with the local council, so UKVI have squeezed us a bit but I will contact the council tomorrow as they told Asawa an incorrect email address for where we apply for the ceremony.
