How long between applying and sending documents?

Yes im aware of that bigmac, Yeah its a pain in the butt because my wife has to travel up from Mid Mindanao but its a requirement so has to be done, Iv only learnt today that we have to send the documents to Sheffield, so what does she need to take to Cebu with her ?.

Sending Documents to P.O Box in Sheffield from Philippines,
Hi does anyone know worldwide courier aside from DHL that sends all documnets to Sheffied via P.O Box, as DHL wont do sending documents to Sheffield by Post office.

If your partner is here in the U.K. then send to them to send to Sheffield, that would be a lot easier.

Hi we are are thinking to send it to someone we know in UK as we are both here in Philippines at the moment. What method should we advise the one we know in UK to send this to Sheffield? As some of the courier in UK would NOT send if it is address by P.O Box, and currently for Settlement Visa in UK, their advising us to Send it in P.O Box, Sheffield. Please advise us on this. Thanks

When you have applied you will get an email with an address to send it to which isnt a PO Box address.

Send it via DHL to your friend in the U.K. then they can use Royal Mail recorded delivery to Sheffield. Personally I think that’s the safest way to do it.

So we went to VFS and they gave me a slip of paper saying to send the documents to the Sheffield address which has the PO Box number. And of course we can't find anyone here who will deliver directly there. As you can see from the email it doesn't say to send the documents there. It just seems to randomly include the Vulcan House address after information and another address relating to US applications. So of course I am confused. Have I read this wrong somehow??

And this is when we wen to VFS Manila, when I finished my biometrics and digital photo they gave me this slip. which is totally different if that is the case on the email. So we are really confuse which one to send the documents

Email isnt particulatly clear and if you do a search on the web people use both.

VFS Global publish the PO Box address on their website

We sent to PO Box address and whilst I have confirmation of Royal Mail delivery I still have not got documents back after six weeks and had expected them to be scanned and returned by now. That said did see a post by someobe else that said they got documents back after visa decision.

If I had spotted the addresss in the email I would have used that one.

Remember you also need to supply a stamped addressed envelppe for them to send your documents back so uf have not arranged that and taken to philippines then may need to send to your friend to get and then post.

Do the applicant send his documents to UK sponsor before or after the online application? Or after biometrics?
Then the sponsor forward it to Sheffield.

As we were worried if there will be enough time for sending documents from Philippines to UK sponsor.

Difficult to find guidance on how long to get to sheffield but I believe it is supposed to be 10 days for priority and 20 days for standard. Think that is expected from biometric.

Should plan on having everything ready before submitting. So plan on sending after submitting.

Fedex will get the documents here in a few days and then use overnight courier in UK and should be ok.

Can send stuff to you in UK as soon as possible as last item to be included is copy of application form which can print and sign once submitted. Not sure if really need signed copy as that is signed at vfsglobal so could just print that in UK.

What we have done is firstly get all the documents together here in the Uk, Completed the remainder of the online stuff in the order that they have to be done example; Application Completed, Declaration signed, BRP collection, Biometric Appointment, IHS Payment, Visa Payment, Register at VFS Global, I believe you can only move to one section once the previous section has been completed. I (The Sponsor) then sent the Documents to Sheffield with the Post Office, the day after the Biometrics they arrived in Sheffield signed for the next working day.
If you are both in Phills ie you and the sponsor, you could send the documents to Sheffield no more than a couple of days before your Biometric Appointment, or even send them on the day of your appointment, DHL, Fedex or whoever will get them to Sheffield usually within a couple of days.
