Hi there, glad I have found this forum, I have just returned from holidaying in the Philippines for the month of May and what a fantastic time, Met my wonderful girlfriend for the first time in over one year of LDR chatting over social media and I am definitely more in love with her and now with the Philippines itself, needless to say the next step in our journey is for me to retire there and for us to enjoy each other. Hi Druk1, my girlfriend is from Olango originally but lives in Carmen Bohol at the moment, we met in Cebu had a week there, moved on to Panglao for a week in which we drove over to Carmen, visited the man made forest, the Tarsier sanctuary and the Chocolate Hills, back to Panglao and Alona for the rest of the week, we then travelled up to Bantayan island for a week, loved Santa Fe and Bantayan itself, then back to Cebu to celebrate our one year anniversary before flying back, all went over far to quick but had a fantastic time

Hi Macchiato, yes you are right, I landed at Cebu on May 6 and stayed there for 8 days, during which were the elections, very noisy and busy time but interesting to be immersed in the drama! total opposite when I travelled to Bohol, very relaxed, peaceful and beautiful place, planning now to possibly retire in the Philippines this time next year, would move tomorrow to be honest but logistics dictate that I have to arrange everything ppffffffff life!!!! he he he
