I was so afraid of starting my wife's visa application i developed heart stress palpitations. Once i started the application these symptoms disappeared. Here it is. https://www.gov.uk/apply-to-come-to-the-uk https://www.migrate.org.uk/spouse-visa-uk-2018/#what-is-a-spouse-visa-for-the-uk After unsuccessfully searching the internet and forums for a step by step guide i found the above guide was invaluable. The website also has a fiance guide too. A FLRM (further leave to remain) guide Unmarried partner guide. Visitor visa guide and further information. Once you start the application on the https://www.gov.uk/apply-to-come-to-the-uk website just answer the questions and after each question you will be asked to collect certain evidence relating to that particular question. When you finish the application you will be provided with a document checklist. Photocopy everything . Good Luck ! My VFS Global appointment is 25th August. We booked the premium service as we have a child ( dual citizen) and don't want to have to wait in an overcrowded room or in a busy corridor. I will do a follow up report of my VFS Global experience after that. The UK property that the applicant and UK partner intend to live in must be ‘owned or occupied exclusively’ by their family I rent a flat with a house mate have my own double bedroom everything else is shared does this mean I don't meet the requirements?
Requirement is driven by overcrowding regulations. As I understand it should be possible to meet requirement with letter from landlord authorising fiance/wife to stay and potentially also a property inspection report may be required.
