Do Americans love guns more than their children? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-61192975 It appears so
The last house I was in stateside the guy, a filipino, has 15 guns including a fantastic machine pistol, the genie is out of the bottle regarding guns on this side of the pond, there's no going back at all.
I once went with a friend to go shooting in Pennsylvania with about 20 Baltimore cops. It was basically a couple of days target practice whilst drinking and chatting in the evenings. They had all put their weapons on top of a metal cabinet out of the way. As we were standing around a large wheel rim in the night time drinking beer, there was a loud bang - one of the toddlers had found a bullet that had rolled off the metal cabinet onto the floor and threw it into the fire. No-one knew what happened to the bullet in the moment of the bang and anyone could have been hurt in that moment. https://www.technology.org/2019/07/...d-into-fire-not-what-you-think-it-does-video/ These men and women were supposed to be responsible cops So many times on the news and in the newspapers were stories of children shooting members of their own families.
I love it, if I lived south of the border I would have a really nice collection, I love being on a range, gun talk, wiping them down, the precision, the smell of cordite, look at this private collection
I look at the situation with guns in the US and I still scratch my head wondering why are there so many guns available.
I got talking to a local who was part of a SWAT team, he invited me to go to the range with him and fire a few of his weapons but I declined saying my eye sight was poor.
Got to be honest, in a good American gunshop I could easily buy 30 weapons without blinking, collecting them would be addictive, some blokes are petrol heads, some like craft beers, some even like making tiktok videos, some like guns.

202 multiple victim shootings in the States so far this year, on average 10 a week. https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/last-72-hours
Nah, I like guns, the genie is out the bottle with weapons in the good old U S of A, people can pontificate, debate, even argue (been a bit of that on here lately ) but the corner has been turned, gun crime isn't going away.
