I don't know if anyone can help with this, but I've got a new laptop. And since I logged in nothing new has appeared on this forum.

So, the last post I can see is from yesterday morning, even though I can see on my tablet and other laptop that there have been posts since.

Any ideas why? Is there some setting for showing new posts or something along those lines?

Funny thing is, now that I've posted this, all the new stuff has appeared.

    Well there's a thing.

And now, when I come back here, it's reverted to yesterday's posts again - although I found this by clicking a link called "recent activity"

Since I installed Windows 10 on my laptop, :poop::poop::poop::poop::poop: happens all the time.

I asked my son, to get rid of it and re-install Windows 7 for me.

I actually wanted Windows 7 as it is better for AutoCAD, but I had to buy with Windows 10 already installed. Seems ok, apaprt from this.

I only get this problem on this forum though. Another forum I use works fine.

How do you access the site, which page have you bookmarked?

Try clicking on the "New Posts" link next to the "Recent Activity" that you mentioned earlier, does that refresh the list of posts?

I bookmarked 'Recent Posts', which is always where I go first.

It is most strange. As soon as I open something from the recent activity, all the new stuff appears on 'recent posts'.

Fix the problem by bookmarking a "New Posts" page rather than the "Recent Posts" page.

The "New Posts" page will refresh correctly with page-refresh / reloading the current page, or using it as a bookmark.

The "Recent Posts" page only refreshes the last-message time and not the message list or sequence of messages.

I think so. The url then should go to the latest version of the page. The one you were using which would have had a number as above, points to a specific update a while ago. Give it a go. Nothing *should* explode........

Interestingly, clicking on either the "New Posts" or "Recent Posts" link at the top of the page ends up at a page with a similarly formatted URL containing a number from the same incremental sequence, I guess this is an internal XenForo pointer to the site search query.

However only the "New Posts" page updates to reflect the current situation on refresh.
