    Hi guys!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself as one of the mentees of the founders of the Filipino Entrepreneur Circle that is continuing to change my life!

Our goal is to bring all Filipino's who are entrepreneurial so that they may be educated and guided on how to run a SUCCESSFUL business of their own choice and change your financial position and life! We want to create an environment where business-minded people can all be together and collaborate with each other to make Filipino stand out from others.

If you do not even have an idea of what kind of business you'd like to establish or if you have any issues at the moment then this would be very much suitable for you! The mentors of the Filipino Entrepreneur Circle currently owns a successful multi-million gym, property investment portfolio and a creative design agency! They are in the process of franchising their multi-million gym in the US, New York and Miami.

This has got nothing to do with that ex-member who is actually no longer based in IoM, Malcolm.

The website and Facebook pages are too elaborate for that.

It is all so slick it actually reeks. My first instinct would have been to delete the post as we do not normally allow advertising.
The website is so garish that Filipinos would easily be impressed by it, and most probably also be convinced in spending the equivalent to a return flight home for a lot of mind bending hot air which could have been condensed into a £2 booklet.

    Only my 2 centavos worth.

I'm a tad suspicious also and more so by the fact that they don't appear to have a venue booked for their conference which is in 2 months' time. If they don't have a venue, how can they price the tickets? I think the 'conference' is a front for pressure-selling their "52 Steps" course. Also there are no names of any businesses this quartet are supposed to have created, we simply have to accept their word that two of them are (Peso?) multi-millionaires.

And the seeming absence of a physical street address, telephone numbers, VAT Number, Company Registration, etc., the disclosure of which would lend some credence to this operation and help to dispel any fears that it's a fly-by-night scam.

I see that two of the founders came to the UK as nurses. I wonder if they are in breach of their visa conditions ....

    My €0.05 worth.

Do you have to be a Filipino to enjoy this entrepreneur deal or is it OK to be white British?

I was in two minds as to whether to leave the post or not.

Feel free to remove it Dom.

I suggest this thread is locked rather than deleted as it will serve as a warning to others.

    • "Filipino Entrepreneur Circle" does not exist in any legal sense; it has not been registered as a company nor as a partnership at Companies House. From its Facebook entries, it appears to have started just one month ago, at the end of November.
    • The claims made by and of its two principals, a married couple, are completely unsubstantiated as indeed are claims of their wealth.
    • The web site is scant on fact and is mainly marketing hype. Details of a registered address, telephone numbers, VAT registration and so on are all missing, presumably not applied for.
    • Their main thrust is selling tickets for, what the OP claims will be "the BIGGEST Filipino conference in London" which as Filipino conferences in London are as rare as hens' teeth, is a meaningless statement. Oh and there seems to be no venue booked.
    • Most worrying of all, its its debit/credit card payment page which suspiciously does not contain any details of the financial institution that would be processing the card payment - nor are those details provided elsewhere on the site. Given that this outfit is just a month old, it is most unlikely that any CC processor would agree to process its payments. The whole thing appears to be a not very elaborate mechanism to gather card details for fraudulent use.
    • Would you take business advice from someone who can not even get the basics right for their own business?
    • However as Dom has remarked, both its web site and Facebook pages are slick and actually too slick to be credible.
