What part of the islands are you building in?

We are up in Pangasinan... about 10 miles north of Dagupan. Home territory of my Mrs.

Beach is only 5 miles away too. :)

Looks really nice , it's somewhere I've never been, or even heard about untill recently on the forum . Do you think you will live out there full time eventually ?

Yes, I'll be moving out there full time, next year at the latest. :like:

Pangasinan is quite an attractive province. You have 100 Islands (La Union) close by, and of course Baguio up in the mountains slightly north of us. It reminds me of North Yorkshire, but without the misery. :D

Thought it was where "Apocalypse Now" was filmed but that was Pagsanjan!

Yes... Pagsanjan Falls, South Luzon (been there)... plus, I believe 'Baler beach' ? Opposite coast to us.

74 now. I'm sticking with a prediction of 75-76 in the summer. May struggle to get there though.

Having been over 70 for a while now, for the first time in a while we got less than 70 to the pound.

For once I got a reasonable benefit from the exchange rate when I was there, I was getting 73.5 the first day and didn't get below 72 I think during my stay.

Also I did something I would rarely if ever have done and that was change money at the airport on arrival, the BDO desk at arrivals was the one offering 73.5 (maybe more) when the official rate was 74.3 ish and for me that was a first as in the old NAIA 1 terminal the money changers always used to rob me blind so I always avoided them.

    Which beach is that

Tondaligan beach... Dagupan... though San Fabian is closer to us, I think, and that's where we'd normally go for a family outing. We have relatives who live near Tondaligan though, and had been visiting with them that day.
