I must admit that our forum members first meeting at Cora's went off really well. The food was excellent, the company even better. Very friendly athmosphere all in all, and the talk, nice and fluid. :grouphug: There was a general feeling of actually have known each other, for real, for a long time indeed, and meeting was the icing on the cake. The ladies were very happy to exchange views and opinions in klingon language as they do, and it was hard to part at the end. But the idea remains fixed in our minds, that we will meet again, and again. And as we grow in numbers , it will be more and more of us attending such meets. I am extremely sorry that some people couldn't make the trip, due to distance and adverse weather condition, but there will be other times...:grouphug: At the present moment in the comforts of home, without the copper breathing on my neck, I am having a port or three to absent friends... My friends, my wife and I, wish to thank you for the nice afternoon, for sharing nice food, mirth and laughter with us.:grouphug:
I must agree with that Dom, so nice to meet everyone and talk as real people, the food was great too a really nice afternoon. I'm obviously not in this but maybe the girls will post one of their photos!
I obviously have a lot on my mind at the moment. I don't really want to go back to the Phils - because I would rather my wife be here with me - hence I think I was rather quiet this afternoon. However, another reason why I was quiet was the fact that I was somewhat overwhelmed with the atmosphere at Cora's. As Dom says - it was strangers meeting as friends!!!! I met beautiful people this afternoon - I don't know what to say but 'Thank you everyone' you made me very happy!!! God bless you all and here's to a lasting relationship!!! Al.:england:
Was nice to see you guys in person (Alan, Florge and Simon again).. And Cora was an amazing host, providing great food and helping with the friendly atmosphere as well Was particularly nice to see the ladies gossiping over second helpings to the buffet and the Lechon flan and Ice cream was delicious hils: Look forward to seeing more of you at our next gathering Which I am sure will become a semi regular thing...

first off, Dom... the copper you mentioned was.... hmmmm... my off-duty husband??? LOL... he said you're a nice man and he had 2 pints of lagger when we got home.. said he can't wait for me to get a license so he can drink whenever we go out! Sean, it's leche flan... although I wish Ate Cora served lechon as well... Alan, we shall meet again when you get back.. hopefully with Hanna in tow... woooopiiiii... And to everyone who weren't able to come but would've wanted to.. don't worry.. this is the first of many!!! I (and Simon) would be travelling around in the months and years to come (and if the weather permits) would like to meet whoever's free.... Just realized, we can have regional meets and assign regional representatives.... hehehehe
Yes, Penny, it was a most enjoyable few hours, and you would have been in your element too. Pity you weren't there, but I guess you were happier in Pinas with your family at the time.:grouphug: A time not to be missed... Besides, the weather here sucks....
