Do kids need to take the English test?

    Hi,
    Can anyone help me my stepson who is 7 yrs old does he need to take the english test ?
    We will be appling for a visa for my wife and him and now im in a bit of a panic as i was sure I had read that he didnt need to but can find the info anywhere. Can anyone help?

    answer is NO.. children DONT NEED to take english test:D he is your wife dependent..and whatever the result of the wife test will affect to the dependent as well

    Only applicant who are 18 and above! Below 18 is still dependant.

    You did dig up a very old thread but for me at least it was interesting reading, it is good to know that my son does not need to take the English test.

    Sorry! About that! I just look for some interesting post and reply to it, not checking if it is an old post like one of the member is asking to take a course it was posted 2010! :p probably he already finished the course he intend to take! :p
