There will be no income and livelihood if the planet starts shutting down.

i'll just leave this here--facebook comments:

John Hetherington Global warming is a fallacy conjured up by money men to buy into their products. Fossil fuels became to expensive to mine so they found a new power that they could leech our money from us. Volcanos push more CO2 into the atmosphere in a week than we have produced in a century. The money men won’t stop producing plastic as there is no cheaper alternative as yet. When they find it, they will stop the plastic within a year. Just enjoy life and don’t let them grind you down grrrr

Mac Jaxon interesting comment. where did you get that about volcanos ?

    John Hetherington Mac...
Volcanoes release up to 130 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere each year (USGS, 2010). It is averaged out that volcanism, per year, contributes anywhere between 65-319 million tons of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere (EIA, 2011). One volcanic eruption has the opportunity to outgas as much carbon dioxide in one day than 250 years of anthropogenic activity (Primer, 2010). The United States Geological Survey stated that ” Our studies here at Kilauea show that the eruption discharges between 8,000 and 30,000 metric tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere each day” (USGS, 2007). The eruptions of the supervolcano Toba in Sumatra 75,000 years ago released up to 250 ppm of carbon dioxide on five different outgassing events (Krulwich, 2012).

I reckon this might be another of those cases where 97.3% of statistic are made up on the spot.

It is easy to debunk the volcano theory, but what do we know? We have to work out which scientists seem trustworthy and aren't working on behalf of biased corporations.

Just looking at things from a common sense "it's bloody obvious" viewing, I don't see how these filthy smog emitting factories are anything but bad for the environment and the planet.

Some things, like air travel, are going to be a massive feature in current and future societies whether we like it or not. Slagging off Emma Thompson for this is pointless. The activists are wasting their time fannying around Heathrow. They need to look at things which society can improve upon such as deforestation, responsible farming and fishing. Oh and those dirty factories in India, Russia and China.

The main issue with man made climate change is population

    ??

The main issue with natural climate change is nature.

Yes. There is climate change which is driven by nature ( volcanoes for example ) and man made climate change caused by many different cumulative things from cow f4rts to coal fired power stations.
