Watching this on TV at the moment David Lammy agrees that it should be legalised.

Labour's David Lammy thinks the UK criminalises too many young black men because of cannabis laws, and wants to decide whether it should be legalised here. Norman Lamb already wants legalisation - his Liberal Democrat party has made it official policy. Conservative Jonathan Djanogly knows many of his young constituents use cannabis regularly, but he's going to Canada with an open mind on what to do about it.

"Picture two 19-year-old men living in the same country, but in different worlds. One is in his second year at Oxford University, smoking cannabis in the garden of a house he shares with friends. The other is smoking in a side-street, away from the sixth-floor flat in Tottenham’s Broadwater Farm Estate, north London, he shares with his mum.

The student’s night will end with a film and bag of Doritos, his dreams of becoming a Tory leadership candidate in 20 years intact. The second young man faces the very real possibility of a formal caution that could affect future employment and travel. In the worst case, he could get up to five years in prison for possession of a class B drug.

This is a social injustice that is repeated across the country. Of the 200,000 people subject to stop and search by the Metropolitan police for drugs last year, 93% were from lower socio-economic groups. Black people are nine times more likely to be stopped and searched for drugs."

CBD, THC oils unveiled by Thai GPO.

Packaging and information about Thailand’s first batch of approved medical cannabis oils was made public Saturday by the government agency brewing them up.

Sopon Mekthon, chairman of the Government Pharmaceutical Organization, or GPO, released an image of the bottles expected to hit the market soon.

The products range from 5ml to 30ml of CBD, THC or both. Hint: If it’s red, you’re gonna get high, Sopon noted.

Digressing into a more general point on the "War on Drugs"

"See, if i'm not sovereign over my own consciousness, if I can't make free choices about my own consciousness, if I can't make those free choices while doing no harm to others then I am not free, in any useful or meaningful sense.

We risk being thrown in prison, we risk having our reputations destroyed - if the powers that be enter our home and find that we're using psychedelics, I mean this is really Orwellian World that we've created, how dare some guy in a suit sitting in government tell me to what to do with my consciousnesses - while at the same time, they're allowing the glorification and glamorisation of alcohol which is one of the most dangerous drugs on the planet.

I mean alcohol is a seriously dangerous drug, whether you're talking about cirrhosis of the liver, or whether you're talking about traffic accidents or whether you're talking about violence - alcohol, there's no doubt about it nobody can dispute, is an extremely dangerous drug."

The way I see it is very simple.

Cannabis use, leads to some other stronger stuff........... That has been proven.
The "If you cannot beat them, join them" attitude does not help addicts.
I don't have solutions that do not involve extreme violence to dealers and life in jail
