    Excellent news.
Hope there is no hitch to his extradition.
If he is innocent he has nothing to worry about.
If he his guilty he can rot instead of enjoying life.

BI OPERATIVES APPREHEND NOTORIOUS BRITISH PEDOPHILE

Manila, Philippines---Bureau of Immigration (BI) agents on Wednesday apprehended British national Douglas Michael Slade, a suspected child sex offender in the United Kingdom (UK) and who poses a significant risk to children.

74-year old Slade, a permanent resident in the Philippines, was charged following a letter from the British Embassy saying that he is a wanted sex offender in their country. He was arrested in his home in Angeles City, Pampanga.

Records say that as early as the 1970s, he was linked to a UK activist group called the Pedophile Information Exchange. He has also reportedly molested a 14 year old boy while he was in the UK.

He was likewise arrested numerous times for Child Abuse and Child Pornography in Angeles City. In the mid-1990s, he faced charges involving four children found naked in a swimming pool at his home.

He lived for ten years in Angeles City near a school, making it easy for him to lure children to his home. Allegedly, boys as young as eight years old lined up outside his house and were paid P150 to pose for nude photos and to perform sex acts on him.

He was also re-arrested after indecent images of boys were found in his laptop. Parents of his alleged victims, all under the age of 12, positively identified their children in the photographs, and attested that Slade molested them. A total of five criminal cases were filed against him, all of which were dismissed. In January 26, he was charged as an undesirable alien by the Bureau of Immigration. He denied the charges and claimed that the accusations against him are “make believe” and is a “magical fantasy”.

“Slade’s reported acts pose a significant risk and threat to children’s wellbeing,” said BI Commissioner Siegfred Mison. “The wellbeing of our children is considered the utmost interest of the State. We will not allow any such corruption of our youth to happen,” he added.

Slade was arrested after being found liable for undesirability. He is currently quarantined at the BI Bicutan Detention Facility pending resolution of his deportation case.

Expats in Angeles (and Manila before that) have known of his depraved tendencies for many years. Previously he has (allegedly) paid off local law enforcement. Hopefully he will now receive his just deserts...though that is not much compensation for his alleged victims.

First Gary Glitter, and now Slade.

Not looking good for 70's English Glam Rock.

In the Philippines, if you have the money, you can buy almost anything... and anyone.

I know people who have committed the most heinous of acts, some of them even British expats.

But since they had the money, they just paid everything off and was able to leave scot-free.

For a country that's predominantly Catholic, it's quite ironic.

I am from the Philippines. Born and raised here. I have experienced the good, the bad and the ugly side of it.

I have lived in Tondo. In Zambales. In Alabang. In Cavite. In Quezon City. And all sorts of other places...

I've experienced what it's like to be poor, to be rich, and to be poor once again. From the slums, to the rural, to the suburbs, to the city....

I have also been out and about, from this tiny little bubble. I took up university in Australia for three years; have also been travelling a lot. So I've seen what the Philippines is like, from an outsider's point of view.

So yes, it can be quite bleak. But it's the truth.

This British gentleman in Angeles, going about with his hobby, is not going to be able to continue to do so forever. Unless he leaves the country...

He is bound to tick off someone, some higher up, who will want to clean up the streets. Governor Ebdane, the one who holds the Subic area, is a former general. He is someone who aspires to rise in politics- to be known as a tough, strong leader.

Even when you can pay almost every thing off here, other people can do so too.

They just do it with bullets...

Not being one to judge, but I hardly think he qualifies as a British 'gentleman', British 'scumbag' might be more apt.

Are you by any chance familiar with 'British sarcasm?'

If not, then that's my attempt of it. It's probably a poor one though, as I'm only half Brit.

Duterte made a pact with the NPAs and other groups. They can keep their own territory and won't be bothered, as long as they don't enter the city and suburbs.

If they do so... he'll show them his brand of Filipino hospitality.

All the news that Duterte has his own 'death squad/vigilante' group is true.

There are heaps of NPAs and people from Duterte's group, who belong to the same family. Brothers, cousins...
It's quite funny, because they can only look at each other through binoculars and talk through walkie-talkies.

    Hahahah...
