I don't know where they manage to shove it in, although my wife's shape is changing slightly

On a few occasions we were invited to some friends houses for the average party..
So we leave home with several bits and bobs, which were agreed in advance between themselves.

they start off by covering the largest table in the house with banana leaves, and slowly they work up to a crescendo by piling it up, beginning in the middle, with all sorts of food.
Lechon baboy, crabs, prawn of different sizes and ciiked in different styles, barbequed belly pork, chicken, mackerel, sardines, milkfish, dried danggit, squid, piles of plain rice, fried rice, pancit, bagoong, tupperwares with condiments...
It is a mountain of food.

The moment i see the finished item, I go off food....
far too much to take in.
I get a little pancit canton, and disappear in a corner with the other emotionally neglected husbands
But the girls, undeterred go about their busines of chomping away.
Then they stop for a while, for a breather with the karaoke, and after a sip cider for dutch courage, not that they need such a thing, they start all over again with great abandon..

Since the covid-19 lockdowns and restrictions, we haven't had one of those.
But somehow they managed a girls only small event yesterday... From which her indoors returned home a few pounds heavier.
If she was a ship, she would be way below the plimsoll line...

It's called a boodle fight, the best ones I have been to were in Canada with snow crabs, moose ribs, salmon steaks. IMG_20210304_153942.jpg

Basically it's just diving in and eating with your hands, but the nicer ones I have worn plastic gloves and an apron.

Had huge tiger prawns the last time I was in Thailand, loved them, but the couple in that clip have disgusting table manners, look as if they ate all the pies, and are setting their kid up for the same sort of lifestyle, total gluttons :)

They just shovel it in, how can they enjoy a meal like that, they eat at speed as if it's the last meal on earth, truly disgusting table manners.

Pinoys call it eat and run, there's probably scatology videos that get lots of viewers, doesn't mean they are enjoyable watching for the average Joe.
