It seems Amber Rudd has had her comments about Diane Abbott classified by the same Diane Abbott as racist. I have not heard the comments that were made, but its my belief that this is taking the whole race thing, and politically correct topic a step to far. We are ALL coloured for F***s sake its just that we are different colours , are we now saying that "White" is not a Colour ?. I am totally sick and tired of people who want to classify everything we say as being racist, it seems it was a totally innocent remark actually defending Dianne Abbott, I believe it Abbotts comments that are the racist not Amber Rudds comments. I dont see Filipinos as coloured, and certainly not my wife as being any different to me, yet it seems certain people seem to be trying to catagorise everyone, its those people that are giving racist slants to almost every innocent remark thats made about colour, to me those are more racist than a great many other people in the world today. Are we now going to erase the word Coloured from the dictionary ?, because thats where it seems we are heading with this Politically correct cr*p..
You win the prize,an all inclusive weekend for one-on-one tuition from Dianne Abbott on cultural appropriation and faux indignation. She is ridiculous, surely when she looks in the mirror to shave every morning she realises she is coloured/black?
In fairness, it is not Dianne Abbot who launched the racism bandwagon. Lots of commentators got their before Dianne said her two pence worth. As an educated and worldly aware person, Rudd should have known better. Politicians (including the funny tinge one) should be much better prepared. However, I can appreciate that when you are talking away, your mouth speaks before your brain has a chance to register. I will never forget the time I was going to call a gay colleague a "stupid idiot" or something like that, but ended up calling him a fag. I was mortified.
Amber Rudd doesnt agree she apologises Rudd tweeted: “Mortified at my clumsy language and sorry to @HackneyAbbott. My point stands: that no one should suffer abuse because of their race or gender.” https://www.theguardian.com/politic...ises-to-diane-abbott-for-calling-her-coloured
Assuming you're referring to Labour's numerically-challenged Shadow Home Secretary, her name is Diane Abbott and her jumping on the outrage bus (again) was a ruse to distract attention from the far more newsworthy proposed investigation into Labour's ingrained anti-Semitism. This is the same Diane Abbott who referred to a particular group as "male, pale and stale", a triply-offensive epithet I seem to recall tumbling from her generous lips during an edition of This Week (and for which she was called-out by her fellow commentator, Michael Portillo).
Oh har har . Yes we have met; about five years ago. At a party fund-raiser in her constituency hosted by a local landowner whom I've known for over fifty years and whose house guest I was. Spoiler You did mean Amber Rudd, right?!
