I was going to add in this thread that I would still think about an Omega Speedmaster I still like the technology in them, but the reality is I will never spend the money on a watch like that and I doubt my work will be doing any fancy presentations when I leave.

Yeah at 6500 quid, you could probably get 5000 for it on the open market in mint condition, it would be hard to turn down that liquid cash.

That one is mechanically beautiful I would have to have a lot of spare cash to even dream about buying one.

When I retire a 1dx mk ii should be about 1000 quid , even the R5 will be a bit more affordable by then, but unless most of my lenses fail there would be no reason to ever move systems over to the EOS R.

My 2nd wife bought me this citizen job for our 20th anniversary...2004.
Its solar powered..and it tells the right time. Dunno about the date though..i forget how to adjust the leap year. It replaced a nice square thin pulsar she got me as a wedding present.
