I heard a lady behind shouting "excuse me!!! excuse me!!! ooo-hoo excuse me!!!" I stopped and turned around and she almost collided with me running to catch me up. Not wise at her age (I thought) Anyway she asked me if I was Tony, I said no. She asked again "are you sure you're not Tony" "no" I said, my name's Peter. "But you look like Tony..................anyway it's about the lawnmower" "Yes, but I'm not Tony." "Well I was told you'd be interested in a lawnmower,................ it's a petrol mower....very good condition" "I've aready got a lawnmower" "But this one's a petrol mower in excellent condition...............are you sure you're not Tony" "sorry, I'm not Tony, and I've already got a petrol mower" "Are you sure don't want my lawn mower it's in very......" "No, really. I must get on now sorry.." "But why don't you just take a look at it before you finally decide, I've got it in the car right now" "Sorry, I think you got me mixed up with somebody else, I don't need a lawn mower" "Can I give you my mobile number just in case you change you mind?" I can't stop laughing about it now. Just toooooooooo surreal :vhappy: There was a certain point I began looking around for some hidden camera or TV crew. You had to be there I guess. My wife's a bit unsettled now.
I get a few strange remarks when I'm out delivering in my van. I work as a home delivery driver for the supermarket where mums go to - you know the one - and sometimes I get asked whats it like working for Morrisons or why don't Tesco deliver to such and such a place? The best one ever was when I was refuelling the van at Morrisons petrol station and someone passing by said they didn't know Morrisons had started home delivery.
But are you sure you don't want it?! That was very strange. Funny how some folk cant seem to accept something even when its blatently obvious its not how its supposed to be
