I was skyping with Mica last night and we were discussing house decorations etc and I wanted to know what we could put in the house that would give it that Brit/Phil cultural feel. When I say Brit I guess I just mean western culture. I am not sure what would make someone walk in and say, this is a british house. I don't have a portrait of Tommy Robinson over the fireplace or anything. ;)

The only thing Mica mentioned was two wooden spoons. We already have the shrine to ... I forget.. sorry. What other cultural icons make a house looked lived in by a Philippino? and shoes don't count

We have a fireplace with a working chimney in the living room, in the new house, we bought from a Brit.

    Disagreeable neighbours??
We had a neighbour from hell.
Built a Filipino dirty kitchen in the garden, ready for BBQ`d dried fish as next door were down wind.
I did this for my wife..Worked great but I found it always best to wait for the bitch next door to hang out her washing before lighting the charcoal.. Double whammy.. Positive was she had a free crash course in Filipino culture..
    Stinky fish and Karaoke!
    Thats when the trouble started.
