Tampo, best solution is to ignore it. If you know you've done something wrong, then fine - apologise, accept she's pissed. If you have done something minor, and in my experience it was usually a minor thing, then in my experience of trying to calm things I've realised it's best to just enjoy the silence and she will make it up to you later. Win win.

Same with my wife - and she's at her happiest helping out her family. She also understood when she wasn't working, and I was that I would refuse to send money to her family unless for real issues like medicines. It wasn't always like that, when my wife arrived here I was sending £200 a month out to her family believing they had it hard. When there were photos of meals out, and we were sat at home with baked beans on toast because I was skint, I politely told my wife that I could only keep one family, and that was me and her. With her having sisters and brothers working in the US also sending money back, she agreed with me. It was almost a competition between her and her siblings on who was sending the most money. And I was "winning".

I suggest that you keep a reflective diary, particularly of these mood swings, are they related to her period?

If you are having problems getting her into work - get her to do a hygiene course online and get the certificate. She can work in IKEA part-time, 18 hours and then she'll have money.

You're young! I will never forget the 29 year old I married, who asked for a divorce the next day! And than had a personality disorder........ Watch her behaviour - if it doesn't improve call it a day.
