    Hi all

I applied for a credit card with RCBC, but was rejected as I think they didn't understand my P60 and payslips. I was also rejected by HSBC, despite that fact I have a Philippine account and I'm still a premier customer in the UK - and credit card holder.

Has anyone here successfully obtained a Philippine credit card? Sometimes I use my UK credit card to obtain Avios points but I'm not liking the currency fees.

I want a Philippine credit card to obtain airmiles (or equivalent) without the currency high fees. Currently, I transfer part of my UK salary to either BDO or RCBC, monthly, using Wise.

FYI, I'm a permanent resident and working for a UK company, remotely, from the Philippines.

    Any suggestions?
    Thanks in advance.

Are you living in the Philippines now? If so I can't see any problems. I'm a brit living in the Philippines with my Fil wife. And we had one.
Probably someone can give you more useful advise!

I have not had any problem. I'm a brit with permanent residence in the Philippines. Had no difficulty getting a credit card from BPI and BDO.

I'm with BPI... give them your ACR-I card and the world is your oyster :)

I refused as I still had a UK one.

My opinion is that it may depend on the total amount of posts

Because we are lazy and stopped uprating users years ago, some of them could have been here 10 years or more and still be shown as new members, if I get time I'll start looking at changing some of these where they are active.
