Lola was watching TV, she never even felt it (she is in her 80's).

Definitively not needed during this abominable pandemic.

My 8 year old has had her first (home learning) geology lessons this last week. The class had to replicate tectonic plate movement using crackers , cream cheese and red food colouring. She has an understanding of how earthquakes and volcanoes happen now. We watched a video of Pinatubo in 1991 and I explained to her about the Philippines and it’s position on the Ring of Fire. One of her home learning slides showed the Ring of Fire.

Also at school they are devising a school “Eco Code”.

We felt it in Davao City. Not as violent as some earlier shakes but it did go on for about a minute.

Volcanic activity in the Philippines will never cease. Not for a few years anyway.

:D Some say the Pacific will close and result in the next supercontinent, who knows.

Whatever happens it will be volcanic in the Philippines for a geologic era as long as the Palaeozoic unless the subduction zones change :)
