I was going to use this Bank Holiday Weekend to complete my Wife's SET(m) application. I had noticed something small, but significant(?) on my payslips. Perhaps some people here could shed some light on this, or maybe people in the Future might want to seek the same answer. My last payslip was dated on the 26th of July. I normally get paid on the 28th. However this month, sadly (in this case) fell on a Sunday. My bank statements then get issued on the 14th-15th. I believe there's a strict policy on any Financial documents to be no more than 28 days old from the date of application. If I had applied this weekend - I think I would of been sadly too late. If I'm correct the 23rd of August [28 days on from the 26th]. Would of been the last valid day of application with my accompanying July Payslip. If I sent the application anytime this weekend, the Payslip would of been 29-30 days old. I am right in thinking the pedantic nature of UKVI would of seen this as a Red flag for refusal? Edit: To be on the safe side I've decided to wait for the next payslip and request an interim Statement from the Bank - which I hope UKVI accept!
If you haven't had this month's payslip then the latest one is fine...it's mainly bank statement that can't be 28 days old
This is what the wifey said, because this is the common sense approach! I just worry that UKVI are heartless, autonomous & binary.. (Which they are)
They are mate...it more about hope really...this is fiance visa you apply,? I'm same..one month since the lady sent all docs...we sit and await now ...but yeh...you'll be ok as long as you know you have all you need I guess
This is ILR Settlement under as a Spouse. So you'll have this exciting moment to come soon! Good luck to you both. The application wait time for SET(m) is 6 months, not sure how long under Fiance visa it takes for a decision to come back. But by then things will have returned to normal life and be forgotten about!
Yeh it’s damn had wait...apparently 3 months wait..some have taken longer those ...it’s certainly hard I’m sure you will be fine with the Ilr those Have you done anything like this before ?
Aye we've completed two FLM(m) applications (Leave to Remain on a Spouse visa) on a 5 year route after our Marriage. So this is the final milestone. We've not not any issues with our two previous applications, but it's alot of stress everytime it comes around. But you applied for within in the UK or fiancee outside? That time when we had to gather some documents from abroad, oh boy..
I sent all docs to the lady ..she wanted upload at a local VFS station along with her's...we applied 29th July ...but only got a message in Friday...saying they received the application so nearly 4 weeks before they even looked at...it feels forever since sent it and the wait is even worse Oh woow...last step ..that's amazing news I'm sure that it will be great if others went great...that's great to hear .
you would of been fine using the payslip dated the 23rd even though it falls outside 28 days. The decision maker has the discretion under the rules
Hope it's swift so you can focus on more important things like the actual wedding! I imagine it must feel like everything put on-hold until then! Will you be holding a wedding here and then later in the PH?
Yeh that’s the plan to marry here then Philippines...yeh pretty much everything on hold right now...hoping all goes well mainly
Call your bank and get your statements changed so that they are issued on the first of the month. Yhat's what I did. Makes things a lot easier.
Well this was submitted yesterday Online.. Only then to find you can't post documents anymore.. you need to use this silly online tool or visit one of these UKVCAS Centres Neverending!!
I should of done this asap! Well I'm at the end of this long road, so for others whoever read this.. do it! Less complications It will! Planning for the big day is way more fun than this! Bring a suit from the UK.. they say it's cheaper to have bespoke suits in PH and that's not true.. (imo)
Whelp. I hope discretion saves us again. We forgot to include on trip that we made outside the UK in the last 2.5 years, since our last application. So.. it's all stamped in the Passport but not in the Application. Fingers f'ing crossed.
