I wouldn't say that's what the rules say if they didn't say what they say!o_O
It is very obvious why the UKGOV don't want people marrying on visit visa. Trafficking, financial arrangements to name but 2

A very interesting post by Sher , I’m amazed if the home office would give permission to ignore the rules regarding getting married on a standard visit visa .

I’m looking forward to confirmation that that was the case .

As I side issue , can you not apply for leave to remain , following a wedding in UK , whilst still in the UK .?

    Forgive me if that’s incorrect.

Rules of visitor visas normally do not allow conversion to settlement visa. If you apply whilst here on visitor visa even the marriage visitor visa then will get rejected. Fiance visa is different as it specifically allows application.

Settlement visa requirements are that those on visitor visas have to apply from outside the UK.

Think the rules on getting married on standard visitor visa are that notice period is longer, more than likely to allow getting HO input.

If you want to get married then should get marriage visitor visa and that applies even for visa free nationals.

Does my wife need to take a copy of Appendix 2 with her Spouse Visa application form, when she has her appointment in Cebu ?.
