I mentioned to him how many smiles he would see from the pretty Filipinas. It is his first trip over there and he is going on an outdoor action-packed surfing holiday. He wasn't looking for a woman and he is single. I wonder if he can keep to his pre-determined plan?
First time I went PI my guise (to colleagues) was that I was going diving... I did nothing of the sort but my cover was blown with a picture I posted on Facebook the day after my arrival.
Aww, undoubtedly whole lot more! The good, the rad, and the what were we thinking?! Kidding aside, most of us are genuinely "malambing" and kind hearted... and not to mention being guileless That's the good side, but obviously there's the other flippin' side oh well, I'd rather keep things positive
It depends. If he's like me = Most of everywhere I go I can't be fussed to pick a woman up from a club but I love talking to sober women on tinder/dating sites who are in a relaxed state and talking sense. That's how I end up getting some nice lovely dates and then falling in love as per my 1st and only post here haha!
there is surfing in the Philippines, but given its massive Pacific coastline with thousands of miles of open water for the big breakers to come in, it's something of a mystery really why there isn't more. There's loads of moderate/easy surfing places, but the the big two surfing destinations with the best waves in the country are Baler, Aurora in Luzon and Siargao island off northeast Mindanao. Siargao, which is opening up all the time and now has a direct Manila flight, is the surfing capital of the Philippines with the famous world-class Cloud 9 break attracting surfers from all over the globe, and they have an annual Cloud 9 Surfing Cup which is one of the big prizes, in the surfing world. Proper camera crews come along, to televise it and there are surfing kids in places like California and South Africa who have seen it on television. To them, the famous Cloud 9 break, is the only thing about the Philippines, that they have ever heard of. Surfing is big business in Siargao. If you rent a motorbike there, the chances are it will have a surfboard rack on it for people to place their boards. There is a community of permanent and semi-permanent often Aussie tanned surfers of the kind you see in other surfing spots, with the average age of the westerners being considerably lower than normal. They even - shock horror, being often in their twenties - don't appear to very often have a Filipina in tow. There is a community of Aussie/American/Brazilian etc girls there who are often surfers themselves.
Looking forward to an update @aposhark , it will be interesting to hear his thoughts when he returns . You know those Filipinas can be a little irresistible .
I spent a week in Siargao, loved the place. Could have stayed forever. There's a lot of kite surfing as well.
