Hello guys its my day 24 now that I applied for spouse visa last sept 04 2017. Still no email from vfs Sheffield if they already reviewing my application. How many days they should email saying they are making a decision on my application?

Anybody whos on the same situation as I am?

My fiancé applied 14 June and got an email confirming documents had been received on 30th june. Her next email was 14th September to say UKVI were busy and they would try to process her application before 31st October. We're on working day 82 now I think. If I were you I'd prepare for a long wait.

Hi Peach, we applied on the 4th too. No emails as of yet.
The lack of transparency and length of time it takes is disgusting.. and the tracking website doesn't even work!

    Hay nako!

Day 31 (Oct 17 2017) still no email from Sheffield office that they have received the documents that I scan from VFS manila. My husband sent a letter to the MP about whats happening about the application. Hopefully we can hear from the MP soon.

@DandZ hay ewan nakakaparaning sila ngaun kung kelan settlement visa tska naging komplikado sila pero naiitinidihan ko naman ang kahigpitan nila pero sobra naman ata sa pagaantay kaloka! Whats news now with your visa?

@surreydave Hello thank you. I will prepare myself now until 2018 lol got no choice. Whats the news now about your visa?

@peach still no news for us. Working Day 89. Got my MP involved some time ago and escalated it on day 60 but nothing seems to have sped it up. Very little communication from UKVI except for a couple of generic emails. Very frustrating.

We submitted our online application on Thurs 12th Oct, I posted my my documents off to Sheffield, my wife had an appointment today 17th at VFS Global Manila for her biometrics and her Documents to be scanned.

She was told that they can not scan them, if they did, they wouldn't be seen with our application, she was told to send them to me and for me to post them to or take them to Sheffield.

She is going to get them scanned at a computer shop/internet cafe, and email me the PDF files for me to print, I will post these to Sheffield.

My concern is that now our documents will be in 2 lots of post delivered to Sheffield... I hope they'll not just accept the first lot of documents..

This goes against all the other stories I've read here... about Scanning both Sheffield and VFS Global...

    Hello
I applied for spouse visa and avail the priority service on the 4th September 2017 and I get my visa today 18 Oct 2017.

I went to CFO Manila after but they didn't put the CFO sticker on my passport because my visa will be valid on the 23th of October 2017. which is soon. Very crazy system! they should update their website so some filipinos will not waste their time.

But then again i'm looking forward to see my husband!!! :D

I hope everybody will get what they want
If theres any question you would like to ask me feel free to message me I would love to help.

    kind regards
    Peach xx

    Thanks.
    I haven’t applied.
I am here in the UK at the moment and just started collecting all the documents needed for my spouse visa application. I will travel back to the Phil as soon as my 6 months is up (family visit visa) that would be January next year. Fingers crossed, the decision from UKVI won’t take ages as I have two young children in tow. My husband is insisting I apply within the UK (settlement) but I just don’t trust the UKVI would give us the consideration even if we feel that our situation could fall as “exceptional circumstances” given the fact I have a son who is at school, husband working offshore (who will lose his job if he takes LOA to look after the kids while I’m away) a 1 1/2 yo daughter. It’s almost impossible to believe that I will get a quick decision when I apply using premium service no matter how straightforward my application is. However, with your experience I think I shouldn’t lose hope and have faith.
