Hi thx for the reply but after researching for over an hour I'm 99% sure the terminal fee is now included in the departure ticket that's the 750 pesos fee this came into effect on March 1 2015... I found this information on several forums..

It wasn't included when we flew KLM from Terminal 3 at the very end of March this year. Terminal Fees are included in ticket price of most domestic flights but not international ones.

We paid it 2 weeks ago at MCIA. It wasn't listed in the Cathay Pacific ticket charge. Same charge as NAIA now. Asawa also paid 200PHP instead of the normal 1620PHP tax as she has been resident out of the Philippines for more than a year.

markham -try provide correct info, terminal fee of 550 is included in tickets ,not all phillipine passport holders have to pay travel tax,ofw s are exempt or if they pay can claim refund, and as mentioned before flights from davao dont include term fee ,only mnl, cebu and caticlan have terminal fee included now at least on cebu pacific flights

The Terminal Fee is not included in all cases. It is supposed to be included in the ticket for all domestic flights but PAL is the only carrier to implement this countrywide; other carriers including Cebu Pacific and AirAsia/Zest implement it on certain routes only.

But most do though I agree that OFWs travelling to their place of employment are exempt as are Filipinos who are permanently-resident outside the Philippines. Neither of these would apply to the majority of members or their spouses/fiancees.

Strange because I have flown from Davao no fewer than six times over the last 12 months and didn't pay Terminal Fee once.

To be honest this messed up process only happens in the Philippines nothing ever surprises me now...

P.'S I've read in other forums members saying there's even a poster at immigration in terminal 1 stating that no terminal fee will be paid... I'll have my 750 pesos ready though lol

And just so I'm clear my wife will pay both the 1620 and the 750 ? As it looks like only some Airlines include the fee in the ticket !

it not 750 peso -its 550 peso ,you need to find out from the airline your flying whether terminal fee is included but it should be included in ticket, most likely she has to pay the 1620 travel tax if it is the first time leaving the country,so be sure to check in early as after check in have to queue again to pay the travel tax before get ticket for boarding, when i said term fee is included -that was in relation to manila airport only .

When I departed at NAIA 3 last Saturday I didn't pay for travel tax and terminal fee. I booked my ticket a week before my flight.

I was asked by a staff at the Travel Tax counter on where I purchased my ticket, I said expedia.co.uk, then he said, please check with Emirates first so you won't be double charged...I followed his instructions and I was given a boarding pass. I was advised that those fees are already included in the ticket.

I just come back and visited manila international terminal, and the domestic one ,flew to davao, davao to mactan, mactan back to davao, davao back to manila. definitely paid airport tax at Davao, and sure i did in Mactan but can't be 100% sure I've slept since then and try and remember all the good bits not the bad! :)

I did not pay the usual terminal fee when I recently flew from NAIA to London on 2 separate occasions using first Cathay Pacific and later Philippine airlines. Prior to the change, I did. Perhaps some carriers implement the charge as part of their ticketing and some do not.

I must have been robbed too then?

I paid it because it wasn't inclusive in the ticket. No reference to the tax anywhere in the ticket.

Flying MNL to KUL with Air Asia from the international half of terminal 3 at the moment

No sign of any payment counter, no extra fee for me to pay, but a big queue of people outside a room for terminal fee refund, possibly domestic workers heading off on the Emirates flight.

Btw, no flight status screens in this terminal which is most irritating.
I was told that my flight will be delayed by one hour when I dropped off my baggage two hours ago, but it would be nice to check the current status.

I remember that when I flew regularly from the domestic half of this terminal there was a permanent "virus check" message displayed on the screens. I guess they could not fix it and just gave up.
