    Frankly it's an honour to be ignored by you Graham. Weary though I sometimes am of your petty ruminations and constant quest for argument, I don't ignore you since your ill written bleatings have all the pith and bite of a lentil. Honestly, I pity men like you more than anything.

    The contents of posts aren't moderated before they are visible. If you pause and reflect that posts are immediately visible around the clock that should become apparent. I don't see myself as a policeman I try and say what I feel is right.

    It depends on how a forums spam guard is set up..
    I have moderator status elsewhere and we block and delete spam before it hits the general forum.
    New members posts are moderated.. If the 1st post is spam (against rules) without specific permission to post we usually ban the user and delete the post..The forum members see none of it. ..If a new member posts within the rules (may have occurred here,no idea) and then a few posts later after being taken off moderation list does a spam blitz then the post is deleted in its entirety and the member put back on moderation or simply banned..

    You..Like me ... are just members here.. If the Admin and mods feel its fit to let a thread run...Then let it run!...Its not for you or me to decide on what can or cannot be posted as its not our position to enforce rules...
    Like I said before,if you dont like the thread, simply ignore it and move on or send your complaints to the Administrators in a private message..

    there are plenty of threads that I don't like and that I ignore. On this occasion I commented, as did others, and not particularly harshly either. I don't really understand why this particular non issue seems to be such an issue for you.

    The posts of new members do not automatically go into a moderation queue in Xenforo, the first we know about them is when we see them on the board.

    I will try to see if that kind of facility exists.

    If you can get that to work it`ll make life so much easier for you lot back there.

    Already found that, I will need to test this on our test system, no promises as to when or if we implement it, we are on an old version of Xenforo at the moment.

    Well yes that could be one outcome, at the moment people get access to the board basically as soon as we approve the user, and that has been the case as far as I know since Sean switched from Vbulletin to Xenforo, it might have been different on vbulletin but I was not an admin then.

    It has been that way for close to 6 years and has not been a huge problem, ok sometimes we have to act publically to correct abuse of the site but you should all realise that this happens very rarely here.

    I don't want to see people trying to sell things on our forum.
    Surely there are other ways for people to find things out without subjecting people to sales pitches here.
    One sales pitch is the top of a very slippery slope :eek:
