Sour tamarind for sinigang

    Trying to find sour tamarind in London, any suggestions especially in South East London, thanks

    You can get Tamarind gel in any good Asian supermarket, I use it in certain types of Indian curries, I have to say though that Sinigang is my least favourite Filipino dish :)

    Mine too!

    I am underwhelmed by the pig's blood concoctions and the dried fish; adobo is OK but nothing to cross the road for, beef Tagalog is clearly a way to make tough old carabao almost edible, but sinigang is delicious and not fattening...

    I think most Chinese stores have the Knorr Sabay ng Sinigang mix. :) Happy hunting!
