IT looks like as it could be the guidance to ECO's......

Will make this thread into a sticky for ease of search.

    Happy hunting

If you have a five year residence card from another EU country no Family
Permit is required, in fact you can arrive at port and get a 6 months stamp as well

We came over to the UK on 14th December 20 and they suggested that she would get her biometric residence card 14 days later - it is now the 26th February and she still hasn't got it - though her visa is till the 21st May as it stands. We came in on the Sander Singh way. I wrote to the MP who said she would write to the Home Office ........ well Covid has halted most things......... hasn't it!

Took my wife nearly 6 months, and there were no biometrics at the time.
And yes, Covid-19 is not helping, as many public servants are working from home.

    Don't give up.

    Hi there

I have just applied for an EU settlement scheme family permit so I could travel freely in the UK. Married a British citizen.
I currently have a stamp 4 visa in Ireland (renews every 2 years- can live and work anywhere in the Republic)
Now, I want to know if I can work in the UK with this visa and is this visa renewable?
Another thought, if ever we go to America for maybe a few years , am I still be able to enter the UK with my PH passport or do I still need to apply for that family permit again. Thanks

So you mean I don’t need a UK visa to go to other UK cities as my irish residency permit suffices?
I have just read this part from the link you gave me.
Should I just cancel the appointment or wait to make their decision? I have been living in the republic for nearly 4years now. I could apply for citizenship by next year.

    Who cannot use this service
You cannot use the online service to apply to the scheme if you’re applying as:

    • the family member of a British citizen you lived with in Switzerland or an EU or EEA country
    • the family member of a British citizen who also has EU, EEA or Swiss citizenship and who lived in the UK as an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen before getting British citizenship
    • the primary carer of a British, EU, EEA or Swiss citizen
    • the child of an EU, EEA or Swiss citizen who used to live and work in the UK, and you’re in education - or you’re the child’s primary carer

You are in Ireland and I think you are too late to get into the UK on pre-settled status. Have you lived in the UK before.
I suggest you look on reddit - please note cut off June 30th 2021.
You could wait and get your Irish passport - but entry to the UK would then be on a different scheme.
I can only give you limited advice, as I am an ordinary person. I do not know your situation.
