Apart from playing basketball, singing karaoke, drinking with his barkada, going to the gym and sweet talking girls into sleeping with him and paying for him.

And once he has done that, usually without benefit of condom, and got her pregnant, he runs off and chases another one.

Lazy, cowardly, gutless, unemployed, unemployable, unreliable, irresponsible, spoiled Mummy's Boys.

Look at the figures - there are more female than male OFWs.

There are more men than women unemployed at home.

Of course there are exceptions, but most young male Filipinos are just useless gigolos

Some but not all, Ana's brother's kids both ended up marrying their childhood sweethearts, one is merchant seaman, the other one tried that but something that was never explained forced him off the ships, he is now working in accountancy, quite a few of the others in the family have shown reasonable responsibility and ambition, even though they have poor qualifications.

The same can be said of feckless British kids as big mac points out above and no doubt of kids in many other countries.

On flights back and forth I have met many hard working OFW family men, ok they might turn back into a waste of space when they get home but at least they go abroad to work and help their families.

Is it the fisherman's fault that a fish has taken the bait? Or is the fish at fault for being lured and reeled in, without inspecting that it was all real?

While I cannot disagree with your sentiments, because there are a lot of us Pinoys like that, living the 'YOLO life' without a care for tomorrow, the blame goes both ways. If Pinays were not foolish enough to fall in line and sinker for those types, then the world would be a better place. But no...

This specific problem speaks a lot about the underlying problem with the Philippines and us Filipinos. We lack discipline and pride in ourselves. What use is freedom, democracy and all that when you don't even know what good choices to make?

If you're a Pinoy and not yet stable enough in life, keep it in your trousers. Or use protection. If all else fails, own it up. Be a man.

If you're a Pinay, don't be stupid. Think with your mind and not with what is down there. Your ****** is like the door to your house. Do you just let anybody in?

When I visited the Philippines I saw many hard working young Filipino men.
When I was working overseas from the UK, I met so many Filipino men, many were young and I never heard one story about them being lazy etc.

My wife's younger brother is on his second trip in Sau'di Arabia, working as a rigger.
He is still in his early twenties.

Ah mate, I do understand, the first thing that ever went badly wrong in my relationship was to do with her nephews, arguments and knives were involved and lot of who said what, when and where and taking sides and utang.

I think you have clearly been as patient in the far back past as I have, but in some ways you are near terminal burnout with relatives, I would have to say I am in some sense not that far behind you but for me it is no longer the relatives so much as my partner.

Sad but that is the truth.

And yeah the girls are just far more responsible mostly!

Sometimes situation call to be direct, to be upfront and charge right through.

Tell the useless 'boy' to stand up and be a man.

Hit him where it will hit the most. Tell him that he's a useless person with no cojones/backbone to work and strive for himself. That he's a parasite leeching off the blood and sweat of others.

That's what I do, hence why I have lots of enemies.

I don't know, maybe it starts at home where women do all the housework and men don't. Girls growing up are taught how to do everything at home. Guys go out and play.

    Girls have lower mortality rate.

So let the guys enjoy, you'll outlive them anyway.

You can dance and laugh at our graves when the time comes.

But seriously, everyone has choices. It is up to you to make the right choice for yourself.

If you hate useless boys, then don't pick them. Simple as that.

Well, younger Andrew, it's not about us Pinays getting back at Pinoys for being what they are. And I don't think it's nice to outlive men when you love and need them. It would just be nice if Pinoys were more like a man in taking responsibilities. Not like what the OP is describing us they are.

They do wonder, right? And easily accuse us of being with a foreigner for money. @Methersgate That hurts a lot.
