Big Ben.

    I was in the city yesterday and noticed the clock face is visible again,I put our names down for notification as to when the behind the scenes tours open up again :like:

    Me too, long time ago I took my daughter Gemma and her her friend to both back in the late 1990s.

    Been to the aquarium a few times, didn't know there was a behind the scenes big ben tour till a few weeks ago, just been into to meet a friend for lunch in Chelsea, its grey and miserable in the city today.

    We went on the eye a few years ago I thought it was a good flight, also girls walked across the top of the dome which they thought was fantastic,the skyway cable car ride is also a good trip

    Must have been 1999 as that's when it was built, Gemma and Nats would have been 13 at the time

    It opened for paying passenger Feb 2000 it ran for the first time without passengers new years eve 1999 I think as part of the new years eve celebrations

    arent some of the more modern buildings in London an eyesore? Like that ridiculous Gherkin thing. How on earth did that get PP.

    Yes its real you can see it from the South Dock Canary Wharf, Brilliant

    Yeah that one is brilliant it has a death ray that fries cars :D

    The curvature focuses the sun onto the pavement and fries vehicles and anything else that gets in its way, I think those might be the baffles on the right side they had to install to turn off the death ray :D

    I quite like it too but it is a hilarious engineering mistake :D
