I have just been granted ILR last week. This is the 2nd to the last leg to citizenship! Feels like a lot of weight off our shoulders now. I find it easier with the government website and scanning the required documents ourselves. We were planning to do the same process as we did before-- go to Cardiff Home Office and apply for same day decision. But it seemed it wasn't the option now. We have a service station on our local library which saves us booking train tickets, time off work and a hotel. We still opted for super priority service as we already booked our holiday tickets. Service station never disappoint. We were asked to be 15 minutes early and only spent 15 minutes for the whole process on the appointment day. They tried to send my BRP card on the 7th day since submission of my application. Since I wasn't at home, have had to book for a re-delivery in my most convenient time. It seems like yesterday I joined this group and asking for info. Now, I can stay permanently in the UK and hopefully have a smooth citizenship process. Re: English test. I submitted my old IELTS Academic Module results taken in May 2014. This is the document I was worried about the whole time as there a lot of changes and I have been getting a mixture of ideas about re-taking it. The results were good enough for visas and immigration. But if I have to go back to clinical Nursing, I have to re-take it as the IELTS is long been expired. Apologies in advance if there are messages not being replied straight away. It's just me juggling work and being a mum.

Congratulations Anne on being granted ILR My wifes ILR is due in 3 months time and will also be relying on 1st IELTS result. We've started the online application a few months ago and noticed that some of the applications questions have been changing. Most noticeable change has been for Knowledge of language and Life in the UK, only the Life in the UK test reference is requested. The English test reference has now disappeared? We will still submit scan of original test certificate result. I sense that entering previous home office reference number may simplify and reduce the necessary required scans?
