We received an email saying: Thank you for applying for a UK visa. Your visa application has been received and is under consideration. We aim to process non settlement applications within 15 working days (unless you have opted for the Priority Visa service), and settlement applications within 60 working days. Unfortunately, the processing of your application has not been straightforward and we will be unable to decide your application within our customer service targets. We are continuing to work on your application and aim to make a decision as soon as possible. We will write to you again if there is any change to this. Please do not attend the Visa Application Centre until you have been advised that your application has been decided and that your passport is ready for collection. -- Has anyone received the same email recently? If yes, what is your latest status now with your visa application? We received this email bang on the 3rd month days of processing. Any thoughts about this email? Thanks.
i would take it the staff simply havent really looked at the application yet, and therefore wouldnt be able to meet the time target.
hi we had exactly the same reply for our daughters dependent visa, my wife spent 3 months waiting in cebu for sheffield to process the application. in reality they were sulking because the appeal judge gave them a roasting for not giving my wife her second half of the settlement visa.( awarded and given costs by the court ) so they decided to take revenge going right up to 1 day before the 90 day deadline before it would have gone to official review. dont hesitate to get your local MP to write to home office for action , it does often work.
Thanks Steve. However, we don't have any other cases in the past. I am actually thinking of contacting our local mp before this month ends. We are worried that my daughter will not be here in time to look for school and enrol her. I am really not sure why they held up applications for too long. Just unnecessary stress. Thank you for your advice. It is very helpful.
