    Hey there,

I am getting married this coming September but because of my pre-cana seminar being on July - I have to go back to the Philippines 2 month early. So a week ago I went to the Philippine Embassy to apply for Philippine Citizenship reacquisition and Passport but I found out after the appointment that it takes 6-8 weeks before I get it back which means I won't make it as I'm leaving the UK on July 10th.

And I wanted to ask you guys for advice on what I should do? I do not want to overstay. I will enter the country as a British citizen so I only have till August 9th.

    Any advice would be appreciated.
    Thanks

Having a quick read of the balikbayan previlege indicates you should be covered under that as British citizen who was formally a Filipino. That would give you a year.

Might not as you have reacquired citizenship but in that case you can stay as long as you like.

Should be able to go to immigration if on 30 day entry permit as British citizen and get extension.

Final idea quick flight out of country and then back with new 30 days.

If you haven't applied for passport could do an in-country application which is quicker. Then leave with new passport and Philippines passport which should cover any problems.

My daughter is a Filipina and has British citizenship, she's just been here to Phil, and got a years visa at the airport.

Hi, sorry to bump this thread. What office in the airport can we apply for a visa/extension to stay longer than 30 days? Applicant is a British citizen, not formerly Filipino. Can we apply as soon as we arrive in the Philippine airport? Thanks!
