Finalising documents now and would like to ask anyone for last minute advice:

How much is the fee now for child dependant visa?

Do we pay NHS for Child under 18?

English test is NOT needed for child under 18?

How long is a straightforward application to process? Or a super/priority service is still advisable?

With the new procedure at vfs, we decided to submit the application here in the UK and I think it will be in the countryside office and pay £75) rather than avail their scanning service. Any thoughts on this please?

Again, thank you so much for all your help.

Hi i just applied for a child settlement visa for my daughter. She went to vfs Manila last Thursday for her biometrics appointment and she also submit all supporting documents which the vfs Staff scanned for her.

I paid USD 2,071. I did not pay for ihs thank God I am exempted because the ihs could cost USD 2,000.

After her biometrics and scanning of documents they said to wait for 3 months.

My daughter said it was fast and easy just make sure that when you go to the centre all supporting documents has been separated by a barcode separator which you can download in the vfs website and make sure everything is in A4 size paper including pictures. They won’t accept crumpled documents. Photocopy is ok as long as it is clear.

They will ask you for the HIS fee at some point.

Thanks for the info @Mattecube. Do you need to pay even if they give you a reference number?

I’m really confused as the link said after you finished paying they will give you a reference number I did try to pay online because the new system now won’t let you finished your application unless you pay for your ihs. So went on to the link that they have given me to pay during the online application I answered the questions they have asked then after it say I have to pay £0.00 I was exempted and have given a reference number I also received email with reference number to use to complete my application. I'm a little worried now.

ys--i think this happened a few times. my understanding is you will be required to pay an ihs fee at some stage. we never got that far--as application was refused.

Read the link again and look at those reasons you dont have to pay if you dont fit one of them you pay
    This is important
The correct way to do it is pay the fee via the NHS website and get a new reference number and supply the new number remember visas can be refused if you owe the NHS money.

There was (when we applied in Oct 18) and probably still is a bug in their system where for the child applicants it does not recognise that the IHS fee is due.

We got the reference number and system said that we did not have to pay but about 6 weeks after we got an email saying that had to pay the fee within 7 days or application would be refused.

Only reason I can think not to pay is if you have ILR as I believe the child qualifies for ILR on successful application.

Thank you for the clarification. I think this is the reason why I am exempted. I did apply for settlement visa for my daughter that’s probably why I am exempted.

Your situation is NOT exempt from payment of the IHS, i have explained in my post above to you the correct way to progress this payment

Br28016 has explained to you what happens if you dont pay the money at the correct time and if I may add not paying at the correct time and waiting for them to contact you and then they give you 7 days to pay will probably delay your visa decision by a week or more (depending on when they revisit your application) and could even give them grounds to refuse your visa.

    Your situation is not exempt

Hi just wondering if you applied online for your child Visa. I'm a bit confused of what to do. I started filling up the form under appendix FM child online and ready to pay the ihs and the Visa fee. Am I on the right form and do I still need to to fill up the appendix 2 VAF4A for the financial requirements??

Hello. Yes I applied online through visa4 Uk just follow the instructions. You don’t need appendix 2 it’s appendix 1 you need to complete.

Hi, Rose. Have you heard anything from the UKVI? Did you daughter got her visa already? We are still waiting though.
    Thanks.

    Hi

No still waiting. The only email I receive is when they informed me that they have received my application and it is now under consideration by an entry clearance officer.

Hi. Just a quick question in regards of FM child dependant accomodation requirement. We are renting a 3 bedroom house under agency. Do we still need a letter pertains an additional minor to the property? If so, from whom- agency or the landlord per se?
