Me and my wife have been waiting since 4th October for her English language test result, results are normally sposed to be issued within 7 days we received a email stating a delay (no timeline given) and since then have heard nothing.

I’ve tried emailing, twitter and my wife has called, no response on email or twitter and when my wife called they said someone will call her back but obviously they didn’t.

What are my options here? Is there any place I can talk to in UK about it and complain?Anyone had anything similar and dealt with it? It’s extremely frustrating as we should of submitted our visa application by now as this is the last piece we need.

I can understand your frustration about this, if you dont receive any result within a reasonable time limit, your wife always has the option to take another IELTS with another provider, in the meantime she can complain, and ask for either a re-test or a refund , I know its not ideal to take another test with a different provider but it is a way forward for you, rather than the continual not knowing..

Yea this is my fall back plan but next round of exams isn’t until 1st November if we have to do that I will go with the IDP this Time.

It’s just annoying you pay so much money for these exams and they are vital for your life’s and the customer server is shocking that your forced to just pay again.

So latest update is they told us today the results from the 4th October are going to be released on 25th October so that’s 4 weeks after the test date. What a joke but I hope that’s true and we receive it and can move on.

Just hope it’s not more bullshit

just to close this should others search in future, I'm happy to report we finally got my wife's result delivered on 25th October and she passed :) not sure why it took 4 weeks to process but happy its done.

Something to bare in mind if others are looking to do it.

It may be worth my wife taking the IELTS General Training Test to find out what score she has (for Canada) - It's about the same cost as the UK Test... does anyone know if the result would be transferable - I don't really want to fork out for two tests unless I have to.

    From the faqs.

Will you accept English language tests that are not on the SELT list? No. Any tests taken from 6 April 2015 must be on the approved SELT list.

Will you accept English language tests that are on the approved list, but not taken at an approved test centre? No. Any tests taken from 6 April 2015 must be at an approved test centre. The list of approved test centres is available on our website .

If that's for me - Thanks but we're in the Philippines - I would think both tests are "approved"... as the IELTS General Training Test is of a higher level I would (logically) think it could be used to satisfy the lower level requirement of the IELTS for the Spouse visa...

The tests listed at the front are the ones available. Some in UK but also some overseas. Also have to be one of the secure ones that they can check.

Document details test centres world wide.

Would be very careful if planning on using a test not listed
