AXA PPP and Expatriate Healthcare are two of the better-known providers; there are others, mostly US-based, but they tend to be costlier.

I have been with AXA PPP for 28 years and can thoroughly recommend them. I have looked at other providers, Cigna and Pacific Prime, and although the premium is less, the coverage is not so good. I am happily living in Davao since January this year.

So, we got back from Taipei and i got my balikbayan stamp, just looks exactly the same as a normal immigration stamp except it says June 2019 on it.

I am starting to prepare all documents ready for my 13a application next week, I have 1 or 2 questions though.

1st. Is this the correct forms, CGAF 001 Rev 2? I ask because I've noticed another similar form but it was a different code and looks almost the same.

2nd. Where do I get my BI clearance, I thought I'd made a note but obviously not.

3rd. It doesn't mention my police clearance certificate on the checklist.

Well after calling AXA they quote over £1000 per year each and you have to be selective as to which hospital you are admitted too. If you had an accident and taken via ambulance to the nearest hospital you would not be covered for the initial treatment before being transferred to a hospital that is covered in the plan. Also the same with Medicard...looks like better to take your chances and not get sick and pay the hospital cost as and when they arrive..

There's a local insurance company, Malayan Insurance, that has a fairly good reputation: try them. Alternatively go to your local hospital and ask them which insurance policies they accept.
