    Time Allowance:

Q: What time can be spent outside the UK whilst on my visa?

A: Time spent outside the UK does make a difference to applications for citizenship. If you apply for citizenship as the husband, wife or civil partner of a British citizen, you must show that you have been living in the UK for the last 3 years (the ‘residential qualifying period’), and that you have spent no more than 270 days outside the UK during those 3 years. Also, you must have spent no more than 90 days outside the UK in the last 12 months of the 3-year period. (We have discretion to allow absences above the normal limits in some circumstances.)

Just wondering, if ever I've got the fiance visa then go to uk and get married. What to do after that? When can I get a job? Because I want to help my fiance with expenses when we start living together.

your fiancee visa gives you up to 6 months in the UK from the start date on your visa--not when you arrive here. as soon as you are married--you can apply for Further Leave to Remain straight away--or--in any case--before the 6 months are up.

FLR gets you your Biometric Residence Permit--which means you can apply for your National Insurance number---and find a job !

FLR costs £811 visa fee---plus your first IHS fee of £500-----which means you can then use our National Health service--most important ! it can take about 6 weeks to get the FLR--unless you want it straight away--in which case same day service is yet another £500---well worth it if you want to work as soon as possible.

your FLR lasts 30 months--then you have to apply again--more money!

expensive times ahead for you both !

Hi, just wondering, did you bother to get your fiancée a local insurance since not covered by NHS yet while waiting to get married?
The fiancée visa status is confusing since I am not considered a resident yet.

Good idea to get covered, I think @firew0myn bought insurance in the Philippines and may be able to suggest a insurance provider.
